"My wife, Marjorie and I had the privilege of hearing the
Young at Heart Choir for the first time the last week of June 2006 in
Colorado Springs. We didn't have any idea what to expect! However,
we were absolutely blown away from their very first number! We
were so thankful that we would hear them over and over, both morning
and evening for 5 days! Each presentation got better. The
choir is wonderful & exciting! Just enough humor to make
it all interesting. However, their love for the Lord was
so evident every time they sang. After serving as the Minister
of Music for 40 years, this was one of those time when I wished I
was still on a church staff, so I could have scheduled them to sing
in MY church. Any church in America would be blessed to have
them in concert!

Dear Mrs. Connie:
My name is Phillip Vincent and I recently had the honor to sing with the Young
at Heart Choir as a member of the Louisiana Baptist All-State Youth Choir.
Thank you so much for allowing over 100 teenagers to join you. I
will never forget this year's tour. YAH has taught me so much about singing
with joy and applying your entire heart and being into a song selection and
into worship.
Thank you for truly challenging and changing my Christian walk. Please pray
for me as I speak with my church staff later this month about inviting
the YAH Choir to our church (FBC Lake Charles) during your Louisiana tour in
the spring. I believe that YAH has a message that my church needs to hear -
one of encouragement, challenge, and plain fun!
I love and already miss you guys so much. Please keep in touch; I want to know
what you guys are up to!
Your New #1 Fan,
Phillip Vincent

Greeting friends and every blessing in Jesus.
Thank you for sharing with PPCC and the our guests on the weekend
of APRIL 16-17. If we were to measure the outcome, I would rate
our time together as "VERY HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL". You
were absolutely fantastic to "fit in" so well indeed,
I would suggest a "perfect
fit". We thoroughly enjoyed the giftedness of the group
and the "antics" that delighted the church family.
On
a personal level, I believe we have made new friends of you
and the group. Thank you so much guys for your ministry unto the
Lord
and, we look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back.
Your
new mate from the land downunder.

their concerts tapping their toes, clapping their hands and praising
our Lord!
The YOUNG AT HEART ministry demonstrates
their enormous love for Jesus Christ as his servants sharing their

QUESTIONNAIRE OF RESPONSE TO THE
“YOUNG AT HEART” CHOIR CONCERT
Did you enjoy the concert?
Everyone who attended the Yah concert on October 23, 2004 really
enjoyed every part of the concert. The Yah choir is a totally unique
music ministry in every way. I cannot think of another group like
them in the country.
Connie Atkinson (my sister) has responded to a call to Senior Adult
ministry through music that not only stretches and calls senior
adults to keep on the cutting edge of witness and service, but is
totally effective because of the unique gifts God has given her
in leadership and motivational strengths. This all was evident in
the concert. The impact was significant for ALL ages.
What part of the concert do you think impressed
you the most?
I believe what impressed me most was the honest, authentic way these
wonderful people shared their faith through the songs that mean
so much to them. Their music never became sentimental or just entertainment.
Their faces, there lovely voices, their apparent unity of purpose
and spiritual singing all combined with life long lessons learned
and experienced really spoke volumes.
Another thing that impressed me was the “Fearless leaders”
gift of programming. Connie has a God given gift for keeping the
concert flowing with energy and purpose. The musical choices, the
well selected soloists and instrumentalists, the verbal testimony,
all well placed gave us a seamless hour and forty five minute program.
Also, as I looked around the audience I saw the young people and
children as riveted to the choir as the adults were.
My 11 year old grandson responded to every aspect of the concert.
He laughed and listened intently.
Did you feel the humor was presented in
a tasteful way?
The humor was great and very tasteful. It in no way detracted from
you spiritual goals. It added to them.
Would you have the YAH Choir return if we
were back in your area?
Yes, by all means!

| “A report from Randy Coleman, Senior Pastor, Central Assembly
of God, Enid, OK
“This is Randy Coleman, your Kids News guy. I wanted
to tell you about a group that maybe coming to your area .
This is a choir made up of over 100 senior saints who love
to sing, These guys are AWESOME. I had them in my church for
a service and they had everyone (youth included) rolling in their
seats and tapping their feet., It was one of the top ten fun
and inspirational concerts we’ve ever had. These folks
are absolutely FULL of life and they flat blessed our socks off!
And not only were they funny, but they shared stories that were
very inspirational.
The director, Connie Atkinson, is nothing but a joy to work with,
Best part, they come for a freewill offering and have no expectations
that you house their choir. This is a ministry to them and
they have no expectation that a church be able to cover the expenses
of traveling with so many people. Each of them willingly supplements
the trip. They are really a tremendous bunch of people.
If your pastor would be interested in hosting them contact Connie.
Randy Coleman, Senior Pastor Central Assembly of God, Enid, OK.

“One of this years highlights was the presentation of the
“Young At Heart” choir. They truly lived out before
us the message that “You’re never to old to serve Jesus”.
Moreover our young people were stirred with zeal to start serving
now because of the witness of “Young At Heart. Seeing
their lively, sparking joy-filled faces will be a vibrant loving memory
in the minds of Living Way Fellowship for a long time.”

the choir and the balance of humor, and good singing. I would certainly
recommend this choir to any church. It goes without saying the
director, Connie Atkinson is a wonderful communicator of the gospel
and is full of excitement that touches the hearts of people.

Awesome! Energetic! Worshipful! Fun! Not necessarily words
we normally associate with Senior Adults. YAH breaks the mold
as far as Senior Adults stereotype! This group of energetic
Keenagers if refreshingly connecting to folks of ever age bracket.
If you want a Christ Centered, Fun Filled Energetic Heart worship
meeting, invite this group of wonderful servants to your church.

“Young At Heart is a wonderful ministry that will bless and
encourage all ages. Their Humor and their Love for God and people
are truly an inspiration.

“First, what a pleasure to have Young at Heart come to our
church. Our congregation thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
We are a diverse church of about 1000 and have children, youth, middle
age and seniors who attend. We heard nothing but favorable comments.
The music was great and brought back many fond memories for
many of our seniors. The children were introduced to many of
these songs for the first time. The songs were interjected with
humorous stories and great warmth, which made a positive impression
that will be with them for a long time. Tyler, a 12 year old,
says, “They reminded me of my aunt who is funny and sings great!
We need to have them back again real soon!” What a wonderful
way to share a heritage of God’s grace and love to all!
Keep up the great ministry!”
Laurie Freeman, Music Pastor
New Life Community Church, Citrus Heights,

Sierra View Homes, a retirement facility was honored to host “The
Young At Heart Choir”. This choir is an outstanding group
of seniors that love to sing and share their love for God through
music.
The Young At Heart Choir rates right up there with the best of concerts.
We look forward to having them come back next year, and every year
that they tour the Golden State.”
Nancy Petinak, Activities Director
Sierra View Homes, Reedley, CA

I would encourage any one of any age to invite the YAH choir to
come to your church. It will lift your spirits as you tap your
toes and sing-a-long with the choir. It is hard to believe that for
these people life seems to be just beginning. Our seniors enjoyed
the music, but so did a Varity of other ages who were present and
helping in the kitchen. Make it a church project and have a
great time and be lifted spiritually.
Doug Davis, Seniors Pastor
Calvary Bible Church, Bakersfield, CA

“The music was wonderful. It brought back so many wonderful
memories” “The Spirit of joy and belonging was evident
in each of the choir participants. The music well chosen. A
high percentage of our guests are retired or near retirement age.
I thought the greatest thing the choir shared was a people with vision
and purpose,
reaching out in ministry and touching others. In God’s
kingdom there is work for each of us to do.” “People
are drawn to happy, joyful people, We’d be delighted to have
your group come back. For us at The Great Passion Play it was
a wonderful blend of music and joy filled with the Gospel message.
Thank you for coming and sharing ministry with us. We pray that
God will continue to work in the hearts of those who were touched.”
Kay Peterson, Director
“The Great Passion Play, Eureka Springs, AR

“I feel this group portrayed the vitality and joy which can
be found in Christ as we grow and mature in years and life.
The program was uplifting. The music presented was varied, with
a nice balance of humor, inspiration and worship.”
David Williams, Minister of Music & Worship

“In case anyone is wondering about having the Young at Heart
Choir for a service, put your mind at ease and have them. Everyone
will enjoy them. I mean all ages will be blessed. The
music and choice of numbers is exciting and spiritually uplifting.
There is some much-needed humor as well as heart-touching ministry
in the songs. Everyone in our church who attended the concert
was blessed and inspired. Take advantage of this group if you
possibly can
Rev. Paul McEachern, Pastor
First Foursquare Church, El Paso, Texas

“The Young at Heart Choir does a fabulous job of communicating
the Gospel through the use of humor, dramatic visual effects, testimonials,
and, most of all, sincere people who love the Lord Jesus! As
a former music director, I was most impressed with the talent level
of this group. Their leader, Connie Atkinson, exudes enthusiasm
and ability. You will be truly blessed by having this outstanding
and dedicated group in your church!”
D. Rix W. Tillman, Senior Pastor
Immanuel Baptist Church, El Paso, Texas

“WOW, they are great!! What a wonderful program!
Be sure you get them next year! We need more groups like this
– they are humorous, inspirational and have great voices.
Those people really prove Christians can have FUN too! They
came, they charmed, they captivated! It is an evening we will
all remember.”
Comments given to Eileen Corre

“The message this choir brought to our church
was of the Gospel, the fun Christians ought to be able to have, and
the joy of service. They brought a vibrant message with a fine
balance of fun and seriousness. The people are still talking
about them (positively) among our church body. The question
was asked, “Would you have them back?” Answer: “In
a heartbeat!”
